Enriched Air Diver
Learn how to Dive Enriched Air/Nitrox with COLUMBIA SCUBA
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Enriched air, also known as Nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen can enhance repetitive dive safety by reducing nitrogen load. It also means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. No wonder Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI® specialty.
We can teach this course essentially on-demand so if you don't see a date that works for your schedule, please call us and we'll schedule a time for you.

How Nitrox can benefit your diving with other PADI Courses
- Diving with enriched air nitrox benefits all types of diving, but it goes especially well with these specialties:
- You can bundle the Nitrox course with your Open Water certification if you want to gain the benefits of Nitrox on your first trip!
- PADI Wreck Diver course – Popular wrecks tend to be deeper, so enriched air nitrox maximizes your exploration time.
- PADI Deep Diver course – The deeper you dive, the shorter your no stop time – but enriched air nitrox increases it, giving your more time at depth
- PADI Digital Underwater Photographer – Photographers usually like to make several dives so they can get lots of pictures. Enriched air nitrox reduces the amount of residual nitrogen you accumulate, allowing repetitive dives to be longer.
- PADI Master Scuba Diver The PADI Enriched Air Diver course counts toward your Master Scuba Diver rating -- the highest non professional rating in recreational diving.
